Fall Festivities

The kids wanted to do a Halloween Craft so we worked on that together last week. They enjoyed gluing the pieces together and then shaking glitter on it as well.

We took the kids to Carowinds yesterday to see the pumpkin patch and all the fall decorations.


They got to pick out a pumpkin and then color on it....


This is their favorite thing to do there each year, the big bubble area. We did this last since they were soaked and freezing when they were done playing in the bubbles. Luckily i thought to bring towels to wrap them in on the way out. They just loved this though!





David and I went to Scarowinds last night alone so Davids mom (nana) and Dana and Derrick came to watch the kids. They brought pumpkins to decorate and had a ball...

Renaissance Festival

We enjoyed the Renaissance Festival yesterday which is the first time the kids have ever been. It was so much fun! A man had carved mushrooms from wood which were little stools that were really cute.

They had many rides this time for the kids so of course they spent a lot of time doing them.

I believe their favorite thing at the festival was this trampoline which they each did two times and Kalyn sure went high, she is NOT afraid of heights at all. Noah was a little more cautious about going too high up!

We got to see a little bit of some shows, this one held the attention of the kids pretty well with all the juggling and fire.

They had added a small petting zoo to the festival too which the kids really enjoyed.

We were SO proud and amazed at what Kalyn did. She is only 3 ft 8 inches as you can see and climbed all the way to the top of this tower and wasnt scared at all! Some adults were on the other side and had trouble making it up! Way to go Kalyn!

Noah turns 4 years old!

Noah turned 4 Oct 1st which is still amazing to me! Kalyn had school that day so we got her up a little early to eat a big breakfast and we then sang to him with a cupcake that am.


Noah opened his gifts before Kalyn went to school as well. She gave him the thomas musical caboose!

He also got this hat he is wearing and then opened the troublesome trucks for his thomas trains too.

He got a Thomas tent and an Annie and Clarabel tent to hook to it too.

His last surprise was a small trampoline which is good for his sensory issues he is dealing with and he and Kalyn both love it!

We had a birthday party for him that weekend. We had invited friends and neighbors to come over from 1-3 to use a moon bounce and enjoy cupcakes and snacks outside. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor party!

We had a bubble machine too which the kids thought was exciting...

Cupcake time!

We then had family over for a cookout and to use the bouncer bubbles that night. Caroline and Kalyn played in the bubbles...

Noah had to show off being "cute" and then took a bow for the audience!

Hotdogs, hamburgers and fixings.... oh my, and a baby cry!

Thanks to all the friends and family that helped us celebrate Noahs 4 year old birthday! We had such a great time and he loved every minute of the day!!
